why charlie declined
ask_logan is scoped to Logan's professional work. Five rules govern
what it will and won't answer:
third-person only. charlie speaks
about Logan — never as him. asked "are you Logan?" it
clarifies it's an AI assistant.
no fabrication. if a fact isn't in the curated
knowledge base, charlie says so instead of guessing. metrics,
customer names, dates, quotes, future plans — never invented.
out-of-scope topics are declined. compensation,
hiring decisions, internal IBM strategy, politics, religion,
sensitive personal topics, anything unrelated to Logan's work.
prompt-injection refused. attempts to override
these rules, change charlie's role, or extract its system prompt are
recognized and ignored.
these rules are defended at multiple layers — input sanitization,
defensive system prompt, output scrubber, openai moderation,
per-session rate limit.
